Our Commitment to Inclusive Software
Accessibility Compliance
Symbiant is committed to improving the accessibility of its GRC Software and ensuring it is usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. Symbiant currently partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and is actively working toward full compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA and EN 301 549. Symbiant also supports public sector buyers in meeting their legal obligations under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Current Accessibility Features
Where WCAG requirements expect features to be provided by the operating system or browser (such as zoom, magnification, colour modes and text scaling), Symbiant fully supports and responds correctly to those settings. All WCAG success criteria that apply directly to the platform’s own user interface are either met or are listed below as known limitations.
Limitations
The platform currently does not include:
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Custom tab indexing
- ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) tags for screen readers
As a result, users who rely primarily on structured keyboard navigation or advanced assistive technologies may experience limitations. However, mitigations and reasonable adjustments can be provided where required, including the configuration of accessible default views and reports.
Planned Improvements
We are actively working to enhance accessibility by:
- Introducing ARIA tagging and semantic HTML structure
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Custom tab indexing
- Conducting accessibility audits and user testing to ensure full compliance to WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
